Howard Margolin
After attending 22 consecutive I-Cons, starting as a fan, and progressing to reporter, then panel host (“Inside the SF Actors Studio”), Dr. Howard Margolin is honored to be included as an invited guest of I-Con 23. An optometrist by profession (practicing in Woodbury and Roslyn), he is best known as the host/producer of Destinies-The Voice of Science Fiction. In fact, he recently celebrated his twentieth anniversary with the program, which airs Fridays at 11:30 PM on Stony Brook University’s WUSB, 90.1 FM (Rebroadcasts can be heard at www.cosmiclandscapes.com). Regarded not only for his thorough eye exams, but also his meticulous attention to production details, Dr. Margolin has done audio editing for Newsday.com, recently branched out into professional proofreading, and was a contributor to John Kenneth Muir’s The Encyclopedia of Superheroes on Film and Television. He invites all I-Con attendees to listen to the live I-Con 23 Mystery Guest special on March 26th, and the hour-long I-Con 23 Retrospective on April 2nd.
