AnimeInformation on the Anime Dance Party (external webpage)Anime Cosplay Competition Rules and TermsAnime Music Video Competition Rules and TermsI-CON 24 Guests:Kristen Nelson, Anime Voice ActressFrom the heart of Japan comes animation with a breadth of style and range of subject matter not produced in the U.S. Anime gives the lie to the belief that cartoons are for kids, and shows us the soul of a culture which is both so very different and yet so much like our own. I-CON offers a broad array of both Anime films and programs, and of programming related to the subject of Japanese animation. Panels and workshops cover topics ranging from cel animation to voice acting, and we are pleased to present a variety of participatory programming, including a Cosplay competition and Masquerade. Also, this year we are presenting our first ever I-CON Anime Music Video competition. We are still in the process of arranging for films and for Guest Speakers. For updates and further information, please check back often. If you have any questions, or would like to participate or help out, please contact us at anime@iconsf.org. This coming year at I-CON, the anime track will be swinging with all sorts of new goodies! Come check it out. Anime Programming will be running in multiple rooms over the weekend from 10am to 2am. Also, we have two new competitions: Fanart and Anime Music Video's, and we will be allowing online submissions for both! Rules and guidelines for these contests are linked at the top of this page. Of course, we'll be having our Cosplay competition again. As far as panels go, we have Anime 101: all about anime, it's history, and it's future. We will also have voice actor guests, but specifics regarding them are still to be announced. We will also have Voice Acting Dubbing Workshops, Cel Painting workshops, both anime and manga style drawing workshops, and how to create your own animation. Live programming includes Karoake and a masquerade ball! Come on down to I-CON and check out our anime programming, you'll have a blast! See what Anime programming we had last year at I-CON 23...
