Terry McGarry is the author of the fantasy novels Illumination, The Binder's Road, and Triad (coming from Tor in November), as well as nearly fifty short stories and an award-winning poetry chapbook. An erstwhile Wall Street bartender, Princeton English major, and Galway street trader, with fifteen years logged in the editorial department of The New Yorker magazine, she now works as a copyeditor specializing in speculative fiction and plays Irish traditional music on the side. Her short fiction has most recently appeared in the anthologies Sword & Sorceress XXI and I, Alien. Her actor father named her after a comic-strip character, but she has yet to acquire any pirates.
