Joe Nazzaro

Joe Nazzaro is a New Jersey/London-based freelance journalist/author. With more than 2000 interviews to his credit, he contributes to such magazines as Starlog, TV Zone, Starburst, Dreamwatch, Fangoria, Cult Times, and the Makeup Artist Magazine to name a few.

Nazzaro's first book Star Trek: The Next Generation Makeup FX Journal, written with Emmy/Oscar-winning makeup artist Michael Westmore was published in 1992. He followed that up with The Making of Red Dwarf, which reached #9 on the London Times best-seller list in 1994. He also wrote Blake's 7: The Inside Story with his wife, British makeup artist Sheelagh Wells, and Writing for Science Fiction and Fantasy Television. His latest book, The Creatures of Farscape: Behind the Scenes at Jim Henson's Creature Shop, was released in November and just sold out its first printing. Joe has recently returned from London, where he's been covering The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter, Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride and the new Doctor Who.
