Mar 22, 2006 - New I-CON Community - ICON Science Fiction, Inc. is proud to announce its new project, community.iconsf.org. Designed to encourage community involvement and the open sharing of ideas and information, community.iconsf.org is our new hub for everyone who is interested in Science Fiction, Fact, and Fantasy (and Gaming, Anime, and everything else you might see at I-CON - and likely a whole lot more!). We encourage you all to stop in, take a look, and speak your mind - this site was created to allow you to immerse yourself further in the things that matter to you (and us).

The Anime Track has several voice actors booked, including Vic Mignola (Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist), Brad Swaile (Quatre from Gundam Wing -The Endless waltz ), Ilich Guardiola (Sha Gojyo from Sayuki) and J. Loseth (Genshiken). Artist Kei White from Starline Media will also be joining us again. We will once more have our Cosplay competition/Masquerade and our Anime Dance Party. Something new this year is an anime version of the classic Hollywood Squares game. There will be a raffle for Anime Dvds at random anime showings throughout the length of the con. We will also have a variety of interseting and educational panels, including panels on the differences between American and Japanese culture, the sudden surge of Anime being imported into the States, retro anime, and the classic sub vs. dub war. There will also be panels on costuming and fan fiction as well as anime 101. Come celebrate the increasing anime craze with us! Hope to see you there!
