TV
Returning for this year's covention:

SAPPHIRE AND STEEL: The final 2 stories of the british science fiction TV series, never broadcast in the US,
starring David McCallum and Joanna Lumley as the mysterious keepers of the time line assigned to patrol Earth's
dimension.

CAPTAIN SCARLET AND THE MYSTERONS: As requested (yes, this proves we read our e-mails!), more episodes of the
classic Gerry Anderson 60's series. Mistaking a camera for a weapon, a Mars expedition destroys an alien complex and
a war of nerves begins. Though originally intended as family programming, this series may be too violent for younger
audiences. There are no gore scenes, but characters do die in every episode by various means.

DANGERMOUSE: The family friendly children's program that had a grown-up following in the US in the 80's (yes,
there was life before Spongebob Squarepants!), this british series deals with the adventures of the world's greatest
secret agent and his inept asisstant Penfold. Not only was any pun not too silly, like the old Hope & Crosby Road
films, this series was not afraid to let the viewers know they were watching a TV show: in one episode Dangermouse's
arch rival, Baron Greenback, disables his car by stealing the critical element that allows it to fly - the series
musical soundtrack! Which lead to the WORST rendition of the closing theme sung by DM, Penfold, and Colonel K. And
yes, we DO have the classic Count Duckula episodes!

THE TOMORROW PEOPLE: Not seen in the US since its initial run on Cable TV's Nickelodeon channel in the early 80's,
this cult series dealt with the self-named Tomorrow People, humans who are the next step in evolution. Hiding out
from the military in an abandoned railway station, the Tomorrow people had the abilities of telepathy (mind talk),
teleportation (jaunting), and a biological computer named Tim.
Plus we are still in negotiations for more family oriented programs. Check our website over the coming weeks for
further updates.
Send your suggestions to our film staff at tvsf@iconsf.org. We can't
guarantee to fill all requests but we are willing to try. PLEASE NOTE: You MUST include "I-CON" or
"ICON" in the subject of your e-mail or our filters will treat it as spam and erase your message without being
