It is said that SlugFest Games, Inc. came into being
by accident. No, not the sort of accident that
irradiates a small, Midwestern town, nor the kind that
summons Lovecraftian beasts beyond space.
It began on a car ride on Long Island, when Geoff
Bottone said to Cliff Bohm, "I have this idea for a
Kung Fu Fighting game, but I can't seem to make it
work..."
To which Cliff responded, "So do I, mine works like
this."
"Nifty!" said Colleen Skadl, whose keen intelligence
is legendary in gaming circles. "I'll help!"
Many thousands of revisions, playtests, and
marker-covered cards later, the trio gave unholy birth
to Kung Fu Fighting. By then, their desire to create
games had become an addiction. A short time later,
they released Fishing for Terrorists, which many
people say is, "just like Go Fish, but with
terrorists! And it's patriotic, too!"
Unable to stop there, SlugFest Games has released En
Garde! (stab your friends with pointy objects) and
soon Red Dragon Inn (you've killed the monsters and
looted their treasure, now relax with a drink and a
friendly game of cards at the Red Dragon Inn!) |
