Apr 12, 2006 - Site Downtime - Some of you may have noticed problems with the I-CON site over the past few days. We have been having hardware issues with our server, which have now been resolved. Mar 22, 2006 - New I-CON Community - ICON Science Fiction, Inc. is proud to announce its new project, community.iconsf.org. Designed to encourage community involvement and the open sharing of ideas and information, community.iconsf.org is our new hub for everyone who is interested in Science Fiction, Fact, and Fantasy (and Gaming, Anime, and everything else you might see at I-CON - and likely a whole lot more!). We encourage you all to stop in, take a look, and speak your mind - this site was created to allow you to immerse yourself further in the things that matter to you (and us).

Carmen Argenziano
Jacob Carter/Selmak in Stargate SG1


Carmen Argenziano was born October 27, 1943 in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Carmen is an actor with many notable tv guest appearances.

Carmen has been trained for the stage at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He has studied with Stanford Meisner, Lee Grant, Milton Katselas, and Lee Strasberg all before becoming a member of the Actor's Studio. He currently works there with Mark Rydell and Martin Landau.

Carmen is also a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and was awarded the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award for his performance as Jack Delasante in Thomas Babe's "A Prayer for my Daughter".

Argenziano's theater credits are vast and include "A View from the Bridge" (Strasberg Institute); "Palladium is Moving "(Court Theatre); "El Salvador" (Tiffany); and the West Coast premiere of Julian Barry's Last Lucid Moment directed by Jon Voigt. He most recently appeared in "Take Me Out" (Geffen Theater)in the dual roles of William Danziger and the Skipper.

He has appeared in more than 50 films, including Godfather II; The Accused; Stand and Deliver; Don Juan DeMarco; Gone in 60 Seconds; and Identity. He has appeared in more than 100 television movies and episodic dramas. In probably his most familiar recurring role, he portrays Jacob Carter/Selmak on Stargate SGI.

Feb 2, 2006 - Memorial Fundraiser - A fundraiser in memorial of Johnny Madonia, the son of a long time I-CON staffer, is being held to benefit the Child Life Program at Stony Brook University Hospital which helps to ease the stay of children in the hospital via entertainment and help them adjust to returning to school after leaving the hospital.
