John Peel was born in Nottingham, England, home of Robin Hood. He naturally grew up loving stories. He moved to the US in 1981 to marry, and currently lives on Long Island with far too many dogs and his understanding wife. He has written fantasy, science fiction, horror, mysteries, historical novels and media tie-ins, many for young adults. His more popular titles are the fantasy series Diadem (currently up to 10 books) and The Secret Of Dragonhome (he's now writing the sequel). He's recently had short stories published in The Book Of Dead Things, History Is Dead and Tales Of The Shadowmen, though he's probably best known for his Doctor Who and Star Trek novels.
