Digital Fantasy Artist

Roy Mauritsen has not missed an I-CON for 22 consecutive years. He has always been a fan of science fiction, fantasy, imagination, and creativity. Roy was “drawn” to art since he could hold a crayon. Seeking various creative outlets, he took every art class offered in school.

After college, Roy began to explore the vast potential of digital art, including Adobe Photoshop, Poser, and other 3D software programs. His art has been very well-received at I-CON for the past few years, resulting in a number of awards for his Chess Pieces Artwork series. Roy is honored to attend this year’s I-CON not only as a fan, but as a guest artist.

This year, in addition to Chess Pieces, Roy will be showcasing a brand new exciting series. Be sure to stop by the I-CON art show and take a look. You can get to know more about Roy and his art at his website: www.chesspiecesart.com
