Each year I-CON holds the Awards Banquet honoring guests for outstanding achievements in their field or genre. In the past, we have held it on campus in the Student Union.

This year, we are pleased to announce that the Awards Banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma on Saturday evening April 5, 2008 starting at 5:30pm. Many of the guests will be there, especially the honorees. The banquet is a served buffet with such entrees as chicken francaise, vegetable lasagna, stuffed flounder and penne a la vodka. There will also be a carving station with Roast Top Sirloin. The meal will also include salad, potato, vegetables and dessert. There will be a cash bar but the soda is free.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for children under 12. They are available on paypal and will also be sold at the box office. If you wish to buy tickets when you send in your membership, just include a separate piece of paper specifying ``banquet tickets'' with your name(s) and the number of tickets. You can include the amount in the same check. Your tickets will be available to you when you pick up memberships at preregistration. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, you will have time to relax afterwards so that you can enjoy the Masquerade which will begin at 10pm. Or, there will be shuttle buses to take you back to the campus to enjoy more I-CON programming!

Either way, an exciting evening and who knows...you may even meet your favorite guest one on one in the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.
