Oscar Rios has been writing Call of Cthulhu scenarios for Chaosium since 2004. His work has appeared in numerous monographs (including all three editions of Halloween Horrors). He’s the author of “Ripples from Carcosa”, “Tales of Death and Darkness” and the upcoming “The Ravenar Saga” monographs. His scenarios have been published in Independent Roleplaying Magazine and the upcoming 6th and 7th issues of World of Cthulhu Magazine. Oscar’s work also appears on the official Cthulhu Dark Ages website. 2008 will also see Oscar’s first fiction publication, “The Nature of Faith” in the Chaosium short story collection “Cthulhu Dark Cults”.

Oscar is also a member of Chaosium’s Missionary Program, dedicated to promoting Call of Cthulhu. In this capacity he’s attended tri-state area and national gaming conventions, such as Gen Con and Origins. In addition to running scenarios he’s also hosted seminars. Many of his scenarios have become official Chaosium convention rounds, which have then gone on to be played all over the world. When not writing stories or scenarios about eldritch horrors, this husband and father of two works as an assistant manager of a crematory in Queens, New York.
